Skilling India

Skilling India

Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has an indomitable vision of "Skilling India". The comprehensive vision laid out by Shri Modi builds on the heritage of India's rich social and cultural diversity, its tradition, the talent of our human resource and the aspirations of the youth and women.

The concept of Brand India encapsulates all the sectors that have the potential to make India a global power. The five-Ts of Brand India are talent, trade, tradition, tourism and technology.

LBIIHM started focussing on "Skilling India" since 2012 whereby we can empower our youth with life-changing and practical vocational skills. In this regard, The LBIIHM was selected for the "Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana" (also called as Urban Development Project), a Project being run by the Smajik Suvidha Sangam, Government of NCT of Delhi. The project aimed at providing "Industry Oriented Hospitality Training and Placement to the Urban Youth" especially to the people who are Below the Poverty Line by providing them skilled training in the Hospitality Sector. The training was successfully conducted for the period of July 2012 to March 2013. Our training program has been greatly appreciated by the S.S.S. and all the students of the batch were duly placed at reputed hotels.

In continuation, The Lakshay Bharti Foundation was selected for "Skill Development Initiative Scheme", for skill development among North East Youth. LBIIHM signed MOU with Government of Mizoram under this skill in the year 2014. The first batch of 27 students from Mizoram was successfully trained and placed at reputed hotels.
